It's a mid-cycle refresh. But that does not inform the whole story. There is a lot more going on here than a new grille. There's a new enginenew front and back gentle styles with available LEDs, a significantly renovated interior, and a straight lengthier listing of common and available features. Before, the Tucson was a value head, however it felt like a bargain to get into excellent function material at a minimal price.
Today, it's border closer to being included with buying lists on its own merits. The exterior design of the current Tucson is essentially unaffected - the metalwork hasn't been altered, but you can find new visual differentiators for a look at the lights at possibly end of the SUV. Hyundai's new cascading grille design dominates leading end, and while the shape of the headlights hasn't changed, the inlays have, and combined with new bumper there are more angular LED day running lights.
You are able to inform the higher-grade designs by the outside slatted chrome grille, while entry designs have a black honeycomb look with a gold frame. Unfortunately, you can just get LED headlights on the top spec, but the appearance on lower rank designs which work halogen projector bulbs is actually dumbed down by the mixture of clean bright angular lights and a circular, yellowy bulb in the middle.
The tail-lights are somewhat various seeking - again, with an alternative inlay, and again with LED just equipped to the most truly effective spec. The reflectors have moved up a bit, mirroring the i30's Euro-look straight back end. Because you can assume, there is number big difference to the measurements - oahu is the same measurement from nose to butt at mm extended, mm broad and up to mm tall with roof rails.
The Tucson chairs five people. Leading chairs have plenty of place and support. Some competitors have roomier straight back chairs, but this Hyundai however offers room enough for just two adults to drive comfortably in the rear. This Hyundai appears reasonable inside and remains quiet at freeway speeds. Nevertheless, the low cuts function lots of hard materials, and actually the most truly effective cuts aren't as upscale as some rivals. Behind the trunk chairs, you obtain 31 cubic legs of shipment place, which will be room enough for picnic and tailgating gear or the family's vacation luggage.
Folding the trunk chairs down gets you nearly 62 cubic legs of room.

July in Hyundai. I recently purchased a Sonata V6, pre-owned with around miles. It seems like a nice, dependable car I bought it primarily for my wife to use. When accelerating from a stop at a steady increase in speed, the shift from 1st to 2nd seems to "lag", almost like there's a noticeable pause between shifts and for a brief second the car feels like it decelerates before accelerating again. The sensation is very slight and hard to really describe accurately, but it's there, enough to be noticed.
I heard that these cars have throttle-by-wire and I don't know if that has any relation to what I'm describing. Does anyone have any ideas or comments? July I don't believe this "lag" to be a problem however it is a known issue and I believe Hyundai has issued a TSB to reflash the transmission control module to minimize or eliminate this.
I do not have the TSB number at the moment but may be able to locate it if I have the time but your local Hyundai service dept. Mine has the lag or had it. I don't really notice it anymore. I wasn't aware of a TSB for this. I know others have it and I guess I just got used to it.
Question--not an answer. Could this "lag" be related to different drivers and the tranny trying to adjust to those different drivers? Is it normal for a Sonata V6 transmission to delay slightly on the first to second shift when compared to the other shifts? Is it normal to have it hunt looking for the proper gear when traveling easily at 40 mph? There are a lot of previous posts on these items.Worried about potential repair costs?

Second gear still a problem. Dealership service advisor told me he "couldn't duplicate my concern". Differential out of tolerance. Found transmission 5speed needed to be replaced. Replaced under warranty transmission, not clutch. Had car in the shop for 4 days. Also, an update on my previous repair atmiles: They replaced the automatic transmission sensor. Dealer repaired it. As of today, issue persists. I only paid for the first trans - my mechanic covered rest. Same as before - bought another car today so Hyundai can spend extended time at shop.
Fixed the problem - probably didn't need original transmission replacement. Throw out bearing bad. Replace same along with damaged pressure plate. They rebuilt the clutch. Parts ordered. Clutch release bearing replaced. Car had a hard rattle after released from shop and had to be brought in just to find out what wasn't tightened properly. Ready the following day without problems. They refused to pay for it.

Recently while driving the car seems to hesitate then has a minor acceleration. It seems as if its about to stall but catches and accelerates or increases to original speed. This is concerning especially when it occurs during rush hour traffic. In addition, I had to replace the battery at 24, miles as the car died on me twice while traveling.
I purchased a battery from o'rielly auto parts as it was closer to my home. The dealer would only state that battery failure has occurred with less than 30, miles on the sante fe however since I didn't bring my car to them the battery is not covered under warranty. It is unbelievable that battery life is this short.
I just purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe today and it seems like the transmission is shifting hard between gears. Transmission slams into gear, also slips into gear and sometimes moves when in park.

Unfortunately, most repair shops know this, and will take advantage of the situation by reaching deep into your pocket.
Before you hand over your keys and a blank check, brush up on the simple end of automatic transmissions. If something is seriously wrong, at least you'll be armed with enough knowledge to avoid being overcharged, over-repaired or straight ripped off. Your transmission is a remarkable contraption. Somehow, it can shift your car from gear to gear, knowing how fast you need to go and how quickly you need to get there. What goes on inside is a mystery to most. Unless your thirst for automotive knowledge borders on compulsive, you can leave it a mystery.
The basics will be enough to have an intelligent which translates to "not about to be ripped off" conversation with your mechanic. While there are many, many little parts inside, your transmission is essentially made up of a few key systems. Now that you know a little about what's happening in there, you can try to figure out why your transmission is acting up, or at least understand what your mechanic is talking about while he tries to make your bill into his new fishing boat.
These two groups of problems are caused by the same faults in your transmission, so whichever your car is doing, the following applies. It's important to check your transmission fluid at least twice a year. Not only can a low fluid level cause your car to shift poorly, it can eventually lead to transmission damage, and a costly repair.
If your car seems to be losing fluid on a regular basis, you may have a leak. Checking for leaks isn't as trying as it may seem. Unless it's been changed to a non-dyed fluid, your car will have red transmission fluid. Here are a few places to check for leaks:.
Your transmission's filter is vital to its performance. If you haven't replaced your filter in a while or ever for a lot of usbe sure to do this before you start talking about rebuilds or replacements. Most transmission problems can't be fixed by the average do-it-yourselfer.

There are just too many specialized tools and pieces of equipment you'll need, and buying this expensive gear just to screw up your first three tries at fixing the thing just doesn't make too much sense. Now that you're in front of the firing squad, it's time to drop some knowledge on your fix-it guy.

An issue that makes the clutch seem like it is failing or it seems to alter the friction point of the clutch. It is a known issue and according to the service manager Hyundai is working on either a recall or a TSB.
What prompted this was a clicking sound on acceleration from a start, and lift throttle conditions. Dealer reset the adaptive learning and the car drives fine. This happened back in Nov. They did adaptive learning and it was better. This time it threw codes. AAA mechanic forced it into drive, worked ok after that. Took to dealer next business day - they replaced a clip that may have been part of a recall. Has worked fine since. Sorry, don't know the actual part names.
